This painting reflects a journey through India which I undertook a few years ago. All the experiences of the trip are reflected in this painting, the green landscape of the north painted through that green band, the density of the south of India as seen on the bottom part, the marble and exquisite detail of the Taj Mahal, symbolized by the pure white and straight line, the color of Mumbai with its glory and dilapidated buildings in orange and gold, and the colors of the country, the saris, the jewelry, the landscape, the spirituality in the top and bottom colors. Such a magnificent country!
