Artist from Amsterdam, Denise Marie Stoot, works with acrylic paint and mixed media to create spiritually infused abstract landscapes and bright colorful paintings inspired by the energy of nature and her travels. In her diverse roles of visual artist, mother, Harvard educated lawyer and Wall Street professional, she deeply cares about the planetary well-being and the connectivity and mysteries of nature and the human world. Painting makes it possible for her to relate to our intricate world and explore the dilemmas of our time. Her process is a continuing exploration of energies and the manifestation of these are color-coded onto canvas.
"I do not search, I find.
Searching that is starting from existing circumstances.
And wanting to find the known.
Finding, that is entirely new.
All ways are open and what is found is unknown.
It is a daring, a holy adventure.
The uncertainty of such risks could in fact only be taken by those who feel comfortable in uncertainty, who in not knowing, and not leading, are led, are pulled by the destination rather than determining it."
-Pablo Picasso
